Adewale Sontan

Adewale Sontan is an Associate in the dispute resolution practice, specialising in commercial litigation, debt recovery, banking, labour, and regulatory compliance. He handles litigation proceedings involving financial institutions, government agencies, commercial and labour matters, and provides strategic legal advisory to clients across multiple sectors.

He has acted as counsel in various litigation proceedings involving financial institutions, their debtors, ex‑employees, and government agencies, and advised financial institutions on regulatory and commercial issues, including placing restrictions on customer accounts, transacting with lottery businesses, and handling changes in statutory corporation mandates. He also represents clients in debt recovery and commercial disputes.

Adewale holds an LL.B. (Hons) from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Qualifying Certificate from the Nigerian Law School. He was the Best Graduating Student of the 2015/2016 Session, Faculty of Law, Olabisi Onabanjo University, and received seven prizes at his convocation ceremony. He is admitted to practice in Nigeria.
