Folake Alabi

Folake Alabi is a Partner at the firm, specializing in lending transactions, recapitalization, debt restructurings, and general corporate finance. She has substantial experience advising on the financing of power assets, infrastructure projects, and capital market transactions, including representing public and private issuers and underwriters in local and international offerings.

Folake has extensive experience advising development finance institutions, which earned her a fellowship at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where she gained first-hand experience in development finance. She has published articles including "Taking Contracting Digital: Examination of the Smart Contracts Experiment" and "Foreign Exchange Control in Nigeria and the Emefiele Approach" on the Social Science Research Network.

She holds an LL.B (Hons) from Olabisi Onabanjo University, a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, and an LL.M from New York University, where she was a Hauser Global Scholar and an International Finance and Development Fellow.
