Joy Abogu

Joy Abogu is an Associate in the firm’s Government Business Practice. She advises clients on governance, regulatory compliance, policy advisory, and dispute resolution, providing research-driven legal solutions to support government institutions and private sector organizations.

Joy is a double First-Class graduate of the University of Ibadan and the Nigerian Law School, earning the Director-General’s Prize and Deputy Director-General’s Prize for her outstanding performance in the Bar Finals. She has experience analyzing national and international regulations, conducting comparative legal research, and delivering actionable advice on complex legal and regulatory issues.

Her professional achievements include multiple national scholarships and essay awards, reflecting a combination of academic excellence and practical expertise in governance and legal advisory.

Joy is a member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), International Law Association (Nigerian Branch), and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
