Naomi Kabowei

Naomi Kabowei is an Associate in the Firm’s Corporate Commercial Practice Group, focusing on Corporate Law. She advises local and international clientele on matters of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, capital markets and capital financing.

She also advises on matters relating to succession and estate planning, and has experience representing borrowers on multi-jurisdictional acquisition financing and reserve-based lending.

Naomi is recognised for her thought leadership in the legal field, having been named a Mondaq Thought Leading Author for Antitrust/Competition Law, Nigeria (Autumn 2023). Her publications include “Regulation Of Digital Lending Platforms by the Federal Competition And Consumer Protection Commission – An Analysis Of The Grey Areas” (April 2023), “Legal And Regulatory Frameworks For Beneficial Ownership Disclosure” (August 2023), co-authorship of “Private equity transaction formalities, rules and practical considerations in Nigeria” (March 2024) and co-authorship of “A Commentary On The Nigerian Public Sector Governance Draft Code 2024” (April 2024).

She holds an LL.B from the University of Abuja (2017) and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School (2019). She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria.

Her recognitions include the Mondaq Thought Leading Author award for Antitrust/Competition Law, Nigeria (Autumn 2023) and Rising Star Lawyer in the IFLR 1000 2025 Edition.
