Nnezi Ivenso

Nnezi Ivenso is a Partner at Obra Legal and heads the Lagos practice area, with over 15 years of post‑qualification experience specialising in arbitration and mediation, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), litigation, corporate and commercial law. She advises clients on complex commercial disputes, corporate transactions, and real estate matters, with a strong focus on arbitration and mediation as primary dispute resolution mechanisms.

She is a CEDR-accredited Mediator, an experienced Arbitrator, a certified Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) practitioner, a faculty member at the Enugu State Multi‑Door Courthouse (ESMDC), and a Notary Public of Nigeria. She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) UK. Her arbitration and mediation experience extends across various types of commercial arbitration and mediation, delivering strategic, cost‑effective, and timely resolutions to clients across multiple sectors.

Nnezi holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (Enugu Campus) (2006), a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja (2007), and a Master of Laws in Financial Services Law from the University of London, UK. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. She is also the Director of the firm's affiliate foundation, Obra Foundation. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), a member of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) International and FIDA Nigeria, and a Member and Facilitator of Ndu Ike Akunuba (NIA).
