Raymond Abiona

Raymond Abiona is a Partner at Aekley Solicitors with a practice focused on International Trade, Corporate and Commercial Law, and Regulatory Compliance. He began his legal career at U.N. Udechukwu (SAN) & Associates before joining Aekley Solicitors, where he has built extensive experience advising businesses on domestic and cross-border legal matters.

As an international trade and corporate lawyer, Raymond has overseen the incorporation of more than 200 companies, assisting clients with a wide range of business structures and regulatory requirements at both national and international levels. His work includes advising multinational organizations on licensing, permitting, and compliance matters across industries such as cybersecurity, manufacturing, and construction.

Raymond has collaborated with international trade organizations, including the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service, providing strategic guidance on international business operations and market entry initiatives.

He holds a Master of Information Systems (MIS) from North Carolina State University, a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, and an LL.B. from the University of Ibadan. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the NC World Trade Association (NCWTA).
