Taye Awofiranye

Taye Awofiranye is the Managing Partner and Head of the Fiscal & Finance practice, with a strong focus on corporate and commercial law, information and communication technology, corporate restructuring, real estate, and contracting. He is passionate about transactions and has dedicated over a decade to exploring new and more effective ways of doing things, committed to understanding the individual needs of clients and ensuring they are met.

He has been involved in the drafting and review of a $180 million split turnkey contract for the expansion of a cement plant, was a team member for a $50 million asset integration transaction for a telecommunications company, and served as team lead for the acquisition of a flour mill in Nigeria. He was also involved in the review of the Nigerian Gas Masterplan and acted as Solicitors to the Issuer in a ₦60 billion debt refinancing bond issue. His experience spans enterprise and investment advisory services, and he is driven by providing practical solutions to complex legal problems.

Taye holds an LL.B (Hons) from Obafemi Awolowo University (2005), a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (2006), and an LL.M in Oil and Gas from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom (2010). He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
