Temitayo Sobande

Temitayo Sobande is a Senior Counsel in the Energy and Project Finance practice group at Dentons ACAS‑Law in Lagos, specialising in energy law, project finance, mining, and renewable energy transactions. She advises on the acquisition and disposal of energy and mining assets, project financing, corporate restructuring, and regulatory matters related to stock exchange listings.

Temitayo has advised on mergers and acquisitions within the energy sector, including share and asset sales involving upstream oil and gas interests, midstream infrastructure, and power generation assets. She has advised a consortium on the proposed acquisition of a majority equity interest in a leading private gas distribution group in Nigeria; sponsors on the financing of gas infrastructure projects, including pipeline rehabilitation and expansion; and a clean energy developer on a blended finance transaction for solar mini-grid infrastructure across underserved communities. She has also advised on the proposed listing of a mining company on the US Stock Exchange, a US$45 million reserve-based lending facility for a marginal field, and the rehabilitation of major refineries in Nigeria.

Temitayo holds an LL.B from the University of Warwick (2017) and an LL.M from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2018).
