Brenda Koko

Brenda Koko is an Associate with experience in finance, capital markets, intellectual property, and the entertainment sector. She advises clients on financing structures, securities offerings, and regulatory compliance, drawing on her understanding of financial concepts and market trends. She also offers strategic counsel on film financing and intellectual property considerations within the entertainment industry.

She advised Zenith Bank on its NGN 290 billion equity capital raise through a rights issue and private placement, Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on the development of its securities offering platform, Fidelity Bank PLC on its NGN 29.6bn Rights Issue and NGN97.5bn Public Offer, and Nigeria LNG Limited on foreign exchange conversion under Executive Order 007. She also advised Genesis Studios on an investment structure for The Price Is Right license, advised Dangote Industries on defensive trademark registration and opposition proceedings, advised Flutterwave on international trademark registration, and coordinated patent registration.

Brenda holds an LL.B from Babcock University (First Class, Most Outstanding Student Award) and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School. She has published "The doctrine of first sale: the trademark face-off between CHANEL & WGACA." She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
