Asue Ighodalo

Asue Ighodalo is a Partner focusing on Capital Markets Law. He has been engaged in many capital markets, project finance and international finance related transactions, and is known for brokering and assuring the smooth conclusion of the most complicated negotiations.

He has very often been instrumental to the development of ingenious and effective strategies for ensuring the success of transactions in which he is involved. His background in Economics has been advantageous in attaining a balance between law and the exigencies of business whilst negotiating billion dollar transactions.

Asue is considered to be “top notch,” with interviewees describing him as “one of the top commercial lawyers around” (Chambers & Partners 2019).

He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ibadan (1977–1981), an LL.B (Hons) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1981–1984), and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School (1984–1985). He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, the International Bar Association, and the Nigerian Maritime Law Association, among others.
