Chris Allagoa

Chris Ayibabeledayo Allagoa is an Associate with expertise in infrastructure and construction, as well as technology, IT and telecoms. He has substantial experience in commercial litigation, arbitration, maritime law, criminal defence, and employment disputes across multiple sectors including oil and gas, shipping, construction, and transportation.

He was a member of the team that obtained billions of naira in judgment against a leading oil and gas company, successfully obtained the arrest of a ship on behalf of a leading company and the release of a wrongfully arrested ship for a major steel company, and secured a favourable judgment in a multi‑million naira long‑term lease dispute. He has served as team lead in successfully defending a client in a criminal matter and obtaining a non‑custodial sentence on a guilty plea. He is also part of teams representing a major transportation company in employment actions, a major construction company in an arbitration worth over a million dollars, and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria before parliamentary committees on power sector hearings.

Chris holds an LL.B (Hons) from Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
