Udenna Michael Chukwulobe

Udenna Michael Chukwulobe is an Executive Senior Associate at Olisa Agbakoba Legal, with over 16 years of post‑call experience (admitted 2010). He is a core member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group, recognised for handling complex, high‑value, and precedent‑setting matters across multiple sectors. His practice spans dispute resolution, maritime law, insolvency and business recovery, human rights, environmental justice, real estate, and commercial law.

He has represented key maritime regulators (NIMASA and Nigerian Ports Authority) in a high‑profile dispute that established the classification of offshore rigs as vessels under the Cabotage Act, and secured a favourable interpretation of a Federal Government Executive Order on port charges for the Nigerian Shippers’ Council. He advises on an ongoing claim exceeding ₦3 trillion involving the Central Bank of Nigeria and major oil companies, and has led debt recovery mandates for First Bank, Polaris Bank, Fidelity Bank, and GTBank, as well as vessel arrests and enforcement actions. He was part of the legal team in a landmark pre‑election appeal at the Supreme Court where, for the first time, the court extended the timeline for compiling records based on exceptional circumstances.

Udenna holds an LL.B (Hons) from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (2010), and an LL.M from the University of Lagos. He is at the final stage of doctoral research in International Environmental Law at Nnamdi Azikiwe University. He has authored several publications in reputable journals and speaks regularly at conferences on environmental law, human rights, and insolvency.
