David Ekanem

David Ekanem is an Associate in the firm's Dispute Resolution and Telecommunication, Media and Technology Practice Groups. His practice focuses on Technology Law, and he is a distinguished litigation lawyer and tech lawyer.

As a dispute resolution lawyer, he has represented both national and international clients in various superior courts of record. As a tech lawyer, he has offered legal advice to key clients across the tech industry. David has a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in AI Governance and Policy.

As a prolific writer, he has authored and co-authored several impactful articles on AI and copyright, cybersecurity in telemedicine, and the extent of protection offered by the Public Officers Protection Act, 2004, which have been published internationally.

He holds an LL.B from the University of Uyo (2019) and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School (2022). He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Law Association.

He was awarded the Mondaq Thought Leadership Award in Autumn 2024 and recognised as a Lexology Legal Influencer for Q3 2024 in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector for Africa and the Middle East.
