Ivie Ehanmo

Ivie Ehanmo is a Partner and a qualified transaction lawyer with over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, particularly in gas and power. She specializes in legal, regulatory, and commercial advisory across complex transactions, project finance, PPPs, and M&A within the African energy space.

Ivie provides comprehensive services including legal and operational due diligence, regulatory compliance audits, dispute resolution, and corporate governance advisory. She has acted as a Transaction Advisor for the Nigeria Power Sector Program (USAID Power Africa Initiative) and contributed to projects such as the World Bank Scaling Up Power Transmission in Africa (SUPTA) Project and regulatory drafting for Sierra Leone Electricity and Water Regulatory Commission.

Her expertise extends to advising investors on on-grid, off-grid, and renewable energy projects across Africa. She regularly contributes to local and international publications and conferences on Energy Law and holds multiple certifications from recognized international institutions.

Ivie holds an LL.B from University of Hertfordshire, an LL.M from University of Dundee, and a B.L from Nigerian Law School. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), NBA Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), International Bar Association (IBA), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK, and other professional bodies related to energy and renewable sectors.
