Johnson Agwu is a Director at Alliance Law Firm, leading the firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice across Litigation, Mediation, and Arbitration. He holds an LL.B from University of Nigeria, a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, and an LL.M from University of Lagos. He also trained at the Centre for Canadian Legal Education.

Johnson has over 13 years of experience advising and representing private and public clients, both locally and internationally, in contentious and non-contentious matters. His expertise spans Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Commercial Law, Insolvency, Restructuring, Debt Recovery, Employment Litigation, Energy & Natural Resources, Infrastructure, Environment, Tax Advisory, and Legal & Regulatory Compliance. He has acted in high-profile cases involving complex corporate, commercial, aviation, maritime, and intellectual property matters.

He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, a member of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). Johnson also serves in leadership roles with the International Law Association (Nigeria Branch), Lagos Court of Arbitration – Young Arbitrators Network (LCA-YAN), and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). He is recognised for advocating for victims of police brutality and contributing to legal education and public discourse.
