Maureen Esegie

Maureen Esegie is a Trainee Associate with expertise in Banking and Finance Law, and also advises on Fiscal & Finance, ICT & Media, Admiralty, Corporate & Commercial, and Employment & Labour law. She provides comprehensive legal counsel to a diverse clientele, including prominent corporations and esteemed organizations.

She has published articles on data privacy and protection, taxation, temporary work permits, child adoption, copyright and trademark remedies, the Nigerian Copyright Act 2023, CBN anti-money laundering guidelines, and the naira redesign policy. She was recognised as a Mondaq Thought Leader (Spring 2023) in Finance and Banking.

Maureen holds an LL.B from Anambra State University (now Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University) and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. She is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (AICMC) and a member of the Institute of ADR Registrars/Secretary.
