Onyinyechi Chima

Onyinyechi is a Senior Associate in the Corporate & Commercial and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups at ÆLEX. She has garnered extensive experience from advising a broad range of clients including development finance institutions, private equity firms and other domestic and international companies on a host of share and asset acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring transactions. The scope of her advice covers transaction structuring, due diligence, and risk analysis as well as documentation and negotiation. In her years of practice, she has worked on transactions for notable clients including the Dangote Group, Reckitt Benckiser, Guinness Nigeria, and the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria. She was a key part of the team that advised Pep Beleggings Pty Limited, a South African retail outlet, on its divestment from PEP Stores (Nigeria) Proprietary Limited by way of a management buyout. She is currently on the team advising one of the entities which form part of a multi-national industrial conglomerate headquartered in Nigeria, on its integration with two other large manufacturing companies by way of a scheme of merger.
