Merit Okafor

Merit is a Senior Associate and key member of our Banking & Finance, Project Finance, Capital Markets & Energy practice groups. In her years of practice, she has handled matters relating to corporate finance, trade finance, structured finance, securitization, asset finance, acquisition finance, Islamic finance and equity investment (structured as both capital market and banking & finance transaction). She routinely advises local and international clients on different equity financing, debt financing, syndicated, and refinancing transaction structures to ensure adequate legal compliance and protection of the firm’s clients. Merit has acted as lead associate on several finance and capital markets transactions and has many years of experience, advising on such transactions. Her talent, experience and commitment properly position her to provide exceptional and excellent legal advice to clients in relation to local and cross border finance transactions.
