Olubunmi Fayokun

Olubunmi Fayokun is the Chairman of the Management Board and leads the firm's Corporate and Commercial practice at Aluko & Oyebode. She is a highly experienced legal practitioner with over 30 years of expertise in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, project and infrastructure finance, power, aviation, and privatisation matters.

She has extensive experience advising top-tier indigenous, international, and multinational clients across a wide range of sectors, including transportation, banking, oil and gas, power, mining, aviation, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. Her practice spans complex corporate transactions, capital market offerings, project finance, and regulatory compliance. She has led numerous high-value transactions, including advising on the acquisition of a controlling stake in a major airport by a consortium of strategic investors, acting as transaction counsel on a US$1.8 billion aviation debt restructuring for a national carrier, and providing legal advisory on a US$20 billion public-private partnership for a national railway concession. She is also active in mergers and acquisitions, including advising on the antitrust aspects of transactions, and is recognised by Chambers Global for her expertise.

Olubunmi is the immediate past Chair of the Capital Market Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law and has served on various committees established by the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission to promote the development of the Nigerian capital market.
