Tawakalt Ibitola Ibidunni

Tawakalt Ibitola Ibidunni is an Associate with expertise in investment and asset management, and mining. She has significant experience in debt recovery, receivership, and insolvency matters, representing financial institutions, real estate companies, and corporate entities in high-value recovery actions.

She has represented a national bank in the recovery of a debt of over ₦200 million arising from a guarantee facility, represented a real estate company in the recovery of a debt worth tens of millions of dollars from an investment company, and served on a receiver's team charged with recovering a substantial debt worth billions of naira and managing a company in receivership. She was also part of the team that advised a state government on a Build‑Own‑Operate‑Transfer (BOOT) public‑private partnership for the development of gas distribution infrastructure worth over $100 million in Oyo State, and advises a property management company on legal and compliance issues.

Tawakalt holds an LL.B (Common Law) from the University of Ilorin and a First Class B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, where she received the Director General's Prize, the Chief J.K. Gadzama, OFR, SAN prize for Best Student in Civil and Criminal Litigation, and the Chief Debo Akande SAN prize for 2nd Best Student in Criminal Litigation. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Business Recovery & Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria.
