Abimbola Akeredolu, SAN

Abimbola Akeredolu, SAN is a Partner at the firm, having joined in September 2007. Her practice focuses on Dispute Resolution, and she is renowned for her vast experience in commercial litigation and arbitration.

Abimbola is a target-driven and goal-oriented lawyer. Her resolute commitment to the best interest of her clients in transactions and in the course of litigation and negotiation of settlements, and the inevitable attendant success, is an attribute for which she is often commended. Her multilingual skills (English, French, Italian and German) make her a lawyer with a difference.

In 2013, she was appointed as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ogun State, the first female to be appointed to that office. In 2015, she was conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

She holds a BA from the University of Lagos (1983–1986), studied at Universita Per Stranieri, Perugia, Italy (1984), and Universite des Langues et Lettres, Grenoble, France (1984–1985), obtained an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Lagos (1987–1990) and a BL from the Nigerian Law School (1990–1991). She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) Nigeria Branch, and the NBA Section on Business Law, Sports Law Committee (Treasurer), and serves as Secretary of the Organization of the Harmonization of African Laws. Her practice areas include litigation, arbitration and ADR, and corporate and commercial law.
