Anastasia Nwoye

Anastasia Nwoye is an Associate in the firm's Tax Business Unit. An adept tax practitioner with a strong foundation in tax and corporate advisory, tax controversy, tax accounting, audit and compliance, she combines legal expertise with practical tax experience to deliver bespoke strategies to local and international clients across diverse transactions.

She recently advised an international buyer on the Nigerian tax treatment of the acquisition of employee stock options valued at circa USD 7 million, advised a multinational company on tax implications of procurement-as-a-service, delivers end-to-end tax compliance support including registration, filings, and transfer pricing documentation, represents the federal tax authority in a high-profile appeal involving a multinational oil and gas company with a disputed deemed tax liability of over USD 1.4 million, acts for a foreign-based client before the Tax Appeal Tribunal, successfully represented a global fintech service provider in a tax audit securing an 86% reduction in assessed liability delivering savings in excess of ₦43 million, and is conducting a tax health check for a leading indigenous service company.

Anastasia holds an LL.B from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (First Class Honours). She has published "Legislative Framework for Corporate Social Responsibility in Nigeria" and "Disobedience to Court Orders in Nigeria: Causes, Implications and Way Out." She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
