Azubuike Okoye, FCIArb is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice. He routinely handles commercial litigation involving engineering construction liability claims, winding‑up of companies, oil spill claims, aviation liability claims, banking law and practice, debt recovery, legal audits, and insurance disputes. He has extensive experience representing clients in all Nigerian courts as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings.

He has acted for an international financial institution in defending claims arising from a complex construction contract in Ghana, for a financial institution in an indemnity‑based instruction from a corresponding bank, for a leading Nigerian construction company in a construction liability claim, and as an expert witness in a matrimonial proceeding pending in the United States. He is an accredited Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Prime Dispute (UK), the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators, and the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of New Zealand.

Azubuike holds an LL.B. (Hons) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and a Qualifying Certificate from the Nigerian Law School. He is a Notary Public of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and has received a Judicial Commendation for excellent and in‑depth knowledge of Nigerian law.
