Benson Akunya

Benson Akunya is a core member of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Transport Law Groups, having joined the firm in 2003. He advises local and international clients on oil spill‑related cases, aviation matters, pre‑litigation and transactional aspects of energy and natural resources, contract, banking and project finance, intellectual property, construction, and taxation.

He co‑authored the Nigeria country contributor for “Getting the Deal Through” (2012, Law Business Research). Benson holds an LL.B (Hons) from Imo State University, Owerri (1999), an LL.M from the University of Lagos (2008), and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2001.
