Clinton Elochukwu Wilson-Okereke

Clinton Elochukwu Wilson-Okereke is an Associate with expertise in dispute resolution and mining. He represents clients in complex commercial litigation, tax disputes, criminal proceedings, asset recovery, and maritime matters, and advises on regulatory compliance and corporate administration.

He has represented a major oil company in an action to preserve its oil mining licenses, defended a key player in Nigeria's financial services sector against a multi‑billion naira claim by the Federal Inland Revenue Service, and secured an administration order for a major vehicle leasing company. He coordinated investigations and supervised prosecutions leading to the recovery of tens of millions of naira, interfaced with Ghana's Economic and Organised Crime Office in a multi‑million dollar recovery, personally conducted criminal trials and secured convictions, successfully defended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in civil actions, advised on the Money Laundering Prevention and Prohibition Act, 2022, canvassed arguments on admiralty jurisdiction, and advised a major real estate company on estate administration.

Clinton holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Benin, Benin City. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Legal Practice. He was First Runner Up in the NBA Section on Law Practice National Debate for Young Lawyers (2021) and Winner of the NBA Section on Law Practice Essay Competition for Young Lawyers (2021).
