Dr. Ngozi Chinwa Ole

Position: Director

Dr. Ngozi Chinwa Ole is a legal scholar, consultant, and practitioner specialising in Energy Law, Oil and Gas, Electricity Regulation, Environmental Law, Water Law, and International Investment Law. She holds a Ph.D. and LL.M. from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, a B.L. (Hons) from the Nigerian Law School, and a First Class LL.B. from Ebonyi State University.

With extensive academic and professional experience across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, Ngozi has advised on major energy and sustainability initiatives, including climate finance and renewable energy projects. She was authorized by Routledge, Taylor & Francis to lead international research on regulatory support systems for off-grid renewable electricity and has contributed to advisory work relating to Green Climate Fund applications and sustainable energy development.

She is a Senior Lecturer, Acting Head of the Department of Public Law, and Director of Clinical Legal Education at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti. Her practice focuses on Oil and Gas, Energy Investments, Electricity Law, Dispute Resolution, and Tortious Liabilities. She regularly delivers training and research on energy and natural resources law and has taught at institutions including the University of Aberdeen, the University of the West Indies, and Redeemer's University.

Ngozi has authored numerous publications in leading international journals, including the Journal of World Energy Law and Business (JWELB), the Journal of Energy and Natural Resources Law (JENRL), and Oil, Gas and Energy Law (OGEL). She is a member of several professional organisations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria (AELN).
