Dr. Pius Okonkwo

Dr. Pius Okoronkwo is a Partner and Head of the Firm’s Immigration Law Practice Group. He is a highly experienced litigator and arbitrator with extensive cross-border practice in both Nigeria and Canada, advising individuals, businesses, and international clients on immigration, litigation, arbitration, and foreign investment matters.

As head of the Firm’s immigration practice, Pius leads the Canada Immigration and Study-in-Canada Advisory Group, assisting clients with immigration applications, study permits, residency matters, and related legal proceedings. He has successfully litigated numerous immigration cases and has appeared before courts and tribunals in both Nigeria and Canada.

In addition to immigration law, his practice covers commercial litigation, domestic and international arbitration, intellectual property rights, trademarks, patents, copyrights, foreign direct investment, securities, and international law. He also represents the Firm’s interests in Toronto, Canada.

Pius holds a Ph.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, an LL.M. from Dalhousie University, a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, and an LL.B.. He is admitted to practice in both Nigeria and Ontario, Canada, and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
