Emmanuel Agherario

Emmanuel Agherario is a Senior Associate at Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL), practising across the firm’s Dispute Resolution, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and Sports, Entertainment & Technology (SET) Practice Groups. He is known for his commercially astute approach to legal problem‑solving, combining strong litigation capabilities with strategic advisory insight. He advises and represents financial institutions, multinational corporations, and high‑growth enterprises in commercial disputes, regulatory matters, and sector‑specific legal frameworks.

He has successfully represented a Tier‑1 financial institution in a landmark ₦1.7 billion debt recovery action, advised an international technology conglomerate on Nigerian regulatory entry and compliance, and was a core member of the legal team that mediated a multi‑party shareholder dispute in the interior design sector. He has led high‑value trademark registration and enforcement mandates, managed bankruptcy and winding‑up proceedings recovering over ₦400 million in bank debt, and provided strategic advisory on ease of doing business to foreign clients. He is an Assistant Secretary of the NBA Section on Business Law (2025–2027), an Associate Member of CIArb (UK) and NICArb, and a member of BRIPAN. He holds an LL.M from the University of Ibadan, a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (Kano Campus), and an LL.B from Igbinedion University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has received multiple Mondaq Thought Leadership Awards and the LIFIN Award for thought leadership.
