Ikechukwu Onuoma, SAN

Ikechukwu Onuoma, SAN is the Managing Partner and Head of Litigation at Obra Legal, with over 21 years of post‑call experience specializing in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, corporate law, and election petitions. He advises and represents clients across all levels of Nigerian courts, including the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Courts, and arbitral tribunals, handling complex commercial, civil, corporate, and electoral disputes.

He is a seasoned advocate with extensive experience in litigation, arbitration, and mediation. He is a certified mediator listed on the Panel of Neutrals, a member of the Editorial Board of the Multi‑door Court, and a member of the American In‑house Counsel. He has acted as a neutral mediator in several disputes and has published numerous articles in reputable national and international journals, including on expert witnesses in international arbitration. He also serves on the Board of the African Development Foundation (parent body of the Pan African University and Lagos Business School) and the Board of Wetland Foundation, and was the Nigerian representative at the United Nations 56th session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD56) in 2018.

Ikechukwu holds an LL.B from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (2004) and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (2005). He was called to the Nigerian Bar on 8 November 2005 and enrolled as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 9 November 2005. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and has served on various NBA committees, including the Enugu State NBA Disciplinary Committee and Continuing Legal Education Committee. He has held retainerships with numerous prominent organizations, including Niger Foundation Hospital, Juhel Nigeria Limited, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Eastern Bottlers Limited, and the Government of Enugu State.
