Kikelola Soyode Ojewale

Kikelola Soyode Ojewale is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group at Dentons ACAS‑Law in Lagos, specialising in intellectual property law, entertainment and media law, and brand protection. She advises clients on trademarks, patents, copyright, industrial designs, and trade secrets, serving multinationals, small and medium-sized enterprises, and creatives across the fashion, music, film, sports, and advertising sectors.

Kikelola has advised Jack Daniel's Properties Inc. on trademark portfolio maintenance and infringement matters; Pacific Drilling Services Inc. on a trademark and website copyright infringement matter; the Entertainment Industry Foundation on an infringement and passing-off claim of their "Stand Up to Cancer" trademark; the Nigerian Stock Exchange on the registration and maintenance of its trademark portfolio of 189 applications; and Chevron Global Downstream LLC on portfolio maintenance. She has also advised an award-winning luxury fashion house on the registration of thirty designs with the Designs Registry and a renowned Nigerian artist on copyright licensing. Her expertise includes structuring, negotiating, and drafting intellectual property licensing, merchandising, franchising, and publishing agreements.

Kikelola holds an LL.B from the University of Manchester (2009), an LL.M in Intellectual Property from the University of Manchester (2011), and a BL from the Nigerian Law School (2012). She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

She has been recognised as a Recommended Individual by World Trade Review 2023 and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Lawyers Association of Nigeria, the International Trademark Association, the Anti‑Counterfeiting Collaboration, and the Pharmaceutical Trademark Group.
