Margaret Azimi

Margaret Azimi is an Associate in Jackson, Etti & Edu's Intellectual Property Practice. Her practice focuses on Intellectual Property Law, specialising in trademark prosecution for local and international clients.

Margaret is an intellectual property lawyer with expertise in trademarks, patents, industrial designs and domain names across Africa. She advises multinational corporations on the protection, management and enforcement of their intellectual property portfolios, with a focus on developing and implementing effective trademark protection and portfolio management strategies across Africa.

She manages national, regional (OAPI and ARIPO) and international intellectual property filings, providing comprehensive and commercially focused IP solutions to clients. She adopts a practical and commercially focused approach to advising clients, assisting them in navigating the complexities of Africa's evolving intellectual property landscape, and works closely with clients to develop tailored strategies for protecting, managing and enforcing their trademark rights across the continent.

She holds a BL from the Nigerian Law School and an LLB from the University of Lagos. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators.
