Kodichinma Anigbogu

Kodichinma Anigbogu is a Senior Associate at Jackson, Etti & Edu, based in Victoria Island, Lagos, where she leads the firm's Commercial Intellectual Property Practice and serves as Deputy Sector Head for Technology, Media and Entertainment. Her practice focuses on Intellectual Property Law, advising local and international clients on IP transactions and data protection.

Kodichi is a seasoned legal expert in intellectual property, data privacy and security, entertainment and technology. She advises clients on identifying and strategically exploiting IP rights, negotiating IP deals, and drafting and reviewing IP transaction documents. Known for her strategic and detail-oriented approach, she brings extensive knowledge and practical experience to multiple industries.

She has extensive experience as production counsel for film projects with prominent industry leaders including Greoh Studios, Inkblot Productions and Cinemax Distribution, ensuring the legal integrity of creative projects and protecting stakeholders' interests.

She is also an expert in data protection, holding a CIPP/E certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Her data protection expertise includes guiding organisations on compliance with data protection laws and regulatory requirements, conducting audits to evaluate data compliance, and assisting over 60 companies in meeting data protection regulations and standards. She also offers regulatory and compliance advisory services to tech companies, supporting them in developing proprietary technology and navigating complex agreements such as software development deals and data protection impact assessments.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the Intellectual Property Law Advocacy Network and the International Trademark Association. She holds an LLB from the University of Lagos, a BL from the Nigerian Law School, and has completed programs at Harvard Law School (CopyrightX), the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, and the WIPO-CPIP Summer School on Intellectual Property at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School.
