Oghogho Makinde

Oghogho Makinde is a Partner and Head of the Business Advisory Unit, and a key member of the firm's Banking and Project Finance and Energy and Natural Resources practices. She advises on banking, commercial and secured credit transactions, oil and gas project finance, infrastructure finance and PPP arrangements, exploration and production restructurings, company formations, regulatory compliance, licensing, permits, and corporate governance issues.

She has advised on high‑value transactions across diverse sectors, including financing arrangements for projects in oil and gas, healthcare, hospitality, and manufacturing. She is recognised by Chambers Global for her "deep knowledge of the oil, gas, and power sector," her "hands‑on involvement in transactions," and her "consistently high‑quality service and speed of response." She also coordinates corporate advice, regulatory compliance, and establishment of local subsidiaries for multinational entities.

She has facilitated LMA documentation training and presented on project finance documentation and security, and contributed to the World Bank Doing Business and Enabling the Business of Agriculture projects.
