Oladunni Irele

Oladunni Irele is a Managing Associate at Dentons ACAS‑Law in Lagos, practicing in the Energy and Project Finance group, specializing in Energy Law. She provides legal advisory services to domestic and international businesses in the oil and gas, power, mining, and renewables sectors.

Oladunni has over 12 years of experience advising on divestments, including advising on the sale of shares in a Mauritius entity with due diligence and share purchase agreements; negotiating and preparing agreements for participation in the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme, including interfacing with regulators; advising an oil servicing company on contractual rights in a Nigerian marginal field; and advising on the development of a 120 megawatt on‑grid independent power project, including reviewing project documents. Her expertise also encompasses corporate restructuring, board governance, sustainability frameworks, commercial law, employment law, and government relationship management.

She holds a B.A. from Ohio State University (2003), a Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University (2006), and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (2012). She was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2012. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law, and the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria.
