Oluwafikayomi Ogunrinde

Oluwafikayomi Ogunrinde is a Managing Counsel and Team Lead in the firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice. She advises clients on complex, high-value commercial disputes, with a particular focus on arbitration and litigation across multiple sectors including oil and gas, shipping, banking, manufacturing, energy, and corporate restructuring.

Oluwafikayomi has represented clients in both domestic and international arbitral proceedings, including ad hoc and institutional arbitrations. Her notable engagements include acting for a claimant in an ad hoc arbitration against a national oil corporation for recovery of over US$1.5 billion, representing an international oil company in PCA arbitration concerning crude oil supply contracts with a sovereign state, and advising a sovereign wealth fund in LCIA proceedings involving loan and investment disputes.

She has also successfully represented a government agency in arbitration related to marine installations across Nigerian seaports, obtained interim orders to support arbitration proceedings, and advised on investment arbitration matters before ICSID and ICC. Her practice combines strategic advocacy, commercial acumen, and deep sectoral knowledge to deliver effective dispute resolution solutions.

Oluwafikayomi holds an LL.M from University College London, UK, a B.L from the Nigerian Law School, an LL.B from Buckingham University, UK, and a B.Sc from Babcock University, Nigeria. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
