Oluwakemi Oyebode

Oluwakemi Oyebode is a Managing Associate at Dentons ACAS‑Law, where she leads the Insurance Practice Group and plays a strategic role within the Financial Services and Corporate & Commercial Practice Groups, specialising in banking and finance law, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and insurance law. She advises clients on complex legal, transactional, and regulatory matters across sectors including banking, finance, telecommunications, real estate, infrastructure, and energy.

Oluwakemi has advised the Africa Finance Corporation on a US$35 million secured term loan facility for the construction of the Ibigwe 5,000 bpd modular refinery; the Lagos State Government and LAMATA on the Agbado‑Marina Rail Mass Transit Line; Interswitch management on the US$200 million investment by VISA; and IHS Nigeria on a series of transactions totalling US$485 million for the acquisition of over 11,000 communication sites. She also advised Unity Bank Plc on its proposed merger with Providus Bank, Travelex on a GBP 60 million restructuring facility, and a federal government‑owned borrower on the rehabilitation of Nigeria's refinery plants. Her experience spans debt and equity financing, private equity, regulatory compliance, and insolvency matters.

Oluwakemi holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Lagos (2011) and a BL from the Nigerian Law School (2012). She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

She was selected for the World Bank B READY Program and shortlisted for the NBA YLF Women of Impact 2026 initiative. She has authored and co‑authored publications on financing corporate expansion, cross‑border transactions, M&A, and taxation of digital companies in Nigeria.
