Onyinye Dimkpagu

Onyinye Dimkpagu is a lawyer focusing on Energy Law. Her professional experience has largely been in the energy sector, where she has been involved in several diverse transactions including acquisitions, divestments and financing, providing legal advice on a wide range of legal and commercial issues.

She has a deep understanding of the intricate and complex legal and commercial issues inherent in the sector and is proficient at providing legal advisory services across the regulatory, commercial and technical aspects of the sector.

She also possesses broad-based experience in dispute resolution and corporate and commercial law practice. Onyinye is intelligent, motivated and result-oriented, and is adept at recognising and resolving matters through dispassionate and critical analysis of the facts in issue and providing legal and workable solutions to achieve the client’s objectives.

Her practice areas include energy and natural resources, corporate and commercial law, and litigation, arbitration and ADR. She holds an LLB from the University of Nigeria, a BL from The Nigerian Law School, and a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Energy Law and Policy from the CEPMLP at the University of Dundee, where she was the winner of the Laszlo Gombos Prize for Academic Excellence in 2016. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and the NBA Section on Business Law.
