Patrick Aneke

Patrick Aneke is an Associate in the firm’s Oil and Gas Practice Group, where he advises clients on a broad range of transactions and regulatory matters across the energy sector. His practice focuses on supporting investors, financial institutions, lenders, borrowers, government entities, and both indigenous and international oil and gas companies.

Patrick has experience advising on corporate financing, project financing, project development, and restructuring transactions within the oil and gas industry. He provides commercially focused legal guidance to clients involved in complex energy projects, helping them navigate regulatory requirements and transaction-related risks.

His work includes advising development finance institutions, commercial banks, and investors on financing arrangements within the oil and gas sector. He has also provided strategic legal support to domestic and international energy companies on regulatory and operational issues affecting their business activities in Nigeria.

Patrick is experienced in the preparation, review, and negotiation of transaction and security documentation across the oil and gas value chain, including Gas Sales and Purchase Agreements (GSPAs), Gas Transportation Agreements (GTAs), Gas Processing Agreements (GPAs), and other industry-specific commercial contracts.

He holds a B.L from the Nigerian Law School and an LL.B from the University of Nigeria. Patrick also completed a Certification in Copyright Law from Harvard Law School. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
