Subuola Oludara Lanlehin (Dara)

Dara (Subuola Oludara) Lanlehin is a Managing Associate at Dentons ACAS‑Law in Lagos, practicing in the Corporate and Commercial group, specializing in Telecommunications Law. She focuses on telecommunications, fintech, data protection, and regulatory compliance, with particular expertise in the interplay between telecommunication networks, data, and the fintech landscape in Nigeria.

Dara has advised clients on mergers and acquisitions and the process of obtaining regulatory approvals from agencies including the Nigerian Communications Commission, the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion, and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. Notable matters include preparing an Expert Opinion for a foreign cement company in a US$37 million contractual dispute that proceeded to arbitration at the London Court of International Arbitration (decided in favour of the client); advising the Public Investment Corporation of South Africa on its US$250 million equity investment in Ecobank Transnational Incorporated; and conducting due diligence for Interswitch on a US$1 million acquisition of a stake in Slimtrader. She also advises on labour and employment matters across various sectors including fast‑moving consumer goods, banking, betting and lottery, oil and gas, and NGOs, and provides high‑level advisory on SOTA services, MVNO licensing, VPNs, consumer protection for mobile gaming, ICT‑infrastructure interface, and satellite capacity provision.

Dara holds an LL.B Law from the University of Nottingham (2009), an M.A. in Political Science from Manchester University (2010), and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (2013). She was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2013 and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
