Busola Bakinson

Busola Bakinson is a Managing Counsel specializing in Commercial, Intellectual Property (IP), Entertainment, and Media law, with extensive experience across Africa, Asia, the USA, and the UK. She has a proven track record across technology, e-commerce, retail, financial services, media, and healthcare, and actively contributes to global IP policy development and mentorship initiatives.

She has negotiated financing, licensing, and sponsorship agreements enabling $500,000+ in funding for The Price is Right TV format in Nigeria, served as legal advisor to a two-time Guinness World Record holder, supervised Flutterwave IP advisory and portfolio management, advised on global trademark registration for Dangote Industries Limited, advised on IP rights transfer in a private equity investment, and advised on the acquisition of IP rights in Mavin Records. She drafts 30+ commercial and IP agreements annually managing transactions valued at over $1 million, structures complex financing and licensing agreements, and develops IP strategies for high-value corporate transactions worth more than $10 million.

Busola holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Lagos and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School. She has certifications from George Mason University, Lagos Business School, and WIPO.
