Comfort Iorkyase

Comfort Iorkyase is an Associate in the Firm’s Government Business Practice with extensive experience advising multinational corporations, government ministries, departments, and agencies on policy formulation, statutory reforms, legislative drafting, regulatory compliance, and government relations. She provides strategic legal support to clients navigating complex regulatory and public sector frameworks.

Comfort has contributed to several significant legislative and policy initiatives, including participation in the drafting of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, advisory work on the National Development Planning Bill, the Digital Economy and E-Governance Bill 2024, and enterprise development regulations in The Gambia. She regularly advises clients on regulatory compliance and public sector engagement strategies.

As a member of the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group, she also supports clients in analyzing complex legal issues and developing practical solutions to regulatory and governance-related challenges. Her practice combines strong legislative drafting expertise with a deep understanding of governmental processes and administrative frameworks.

Comfort holds a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School and an LL.B from the University of Jos. She has completed professional training in legislative drafting, legislative studies, and governance. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators and the Nigerian Bar Association.
