Elizabeth Layeni

Elizabeth Layeni is an Associate in the firm's Technology, Innovation, and Fintech Practice. She advises indigenous and international clients on market entry, corporate structuring, capital markets, project financing, product launches, regulatory compliance, and data protection.

She provides advice and support to fintech and tech-enabled businesses including incubators and e-commerce platforms, advises investors on entry and exit of investment positions, assists clients in engaging regulatory authorities such as the Central Bank of Nigeria to obtain licenses (PSSP, VAS, etc.), conducts data protection audits filed with the NDPA, and provides anti-money laundering support to technology and fintech companies.

Elizabeth holds an LL.B from Bauchi State University, Gadau and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School. She has published "The White Elephant Classification of Data Controllers and Processors of Major Importance in Nigeria." She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
