Jonathan Aluju

Jonathan Aluju is a Partner in the firm’s Business Advisory and Foreign Investment Practice with over 20 years of professional experience. He advises clients on corporate and regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, capital markets transactions, corporate restructuring, board and corporate governance, and compliance across sectors including non-governmental organizations, insurance, energy, real estate, labor, health, hospitality, and telecommunications.

Jonathan has led high-profile transactions, including the acquisition and concessioning of power plants and airports, financing of major energy and port projects, and advising on competition law investigations for multinational companies and oil and gas entities. He also provides strategic guidance on global corporate governance frameworks and company secretarial support.

He holds an LL.M from University of Cambridge, a B.L from Nigerian Law School, and an LL.B (Hons) from University of Benin. Jonathan is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, a Fellow & Certified Management Consultant of the Institute of Management Consultants, and a Pegasus Scholar of the Inner Temple, London. He has received multiple awards for academic excellence, including several Bar Finals prizes and university scholar recognitions.
