Nnagozie Azih

Nnagozie Azih is a Managing Associate at Dentons in Lagos, practicing in the Shipping & International Trade and Dispute Resolution groups, specializing in Maritime Law. He advises and represents shipowners, P&I Clubs, charterers, and other maritime clients in court and arbitration proceedings on commercial and maritime disputes, including limitation of liability, charterparty disputes, carriage of goods claims, arrest and release of vessels and cargo, and maritime casualties.

Nnagozie possesses outstanding advocacy and analytical skills, with a strong inclination to research, and has successfully represented clients at all court levels in Nigeria, up to the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is a member of the Maritime and Transport Law Committee of the International Bar Association, the Nigerian Maritime Law Association, and the Maritime Law Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law.

He has been listed as a Rising Star in the Shipping and Transport practice area by The Legal 500 EMEA Guide (2022–2024).
