Olufolajimi Otitoola is an Associate in the firm’s Technology, Innovation, and Fintech Practice, where he advises technology companies, financial institutions, and high-growth businesses on a broad range of regulatory and commercial matters. His practice focuses on fintech regulation, corporate structuring, capital raising transactions, data protection, product advisory, and regulatory compliance.

Olufolajimi regularly supports clients on both domestic and cross-border transactions, providing commercially focused legal solutions for market expansion, strategic partnerships, licensing requirements, and corporate governance matters. He has developed significant experience advising technology and financial technology companies on complex regulatory frameworks and business operations.

His notable engagements include advising on the US$110 million Series C investment in Moniepoint Inc., advising the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) on the development and deployment of Nigeria’s first SEC-approved electronic securities offering platform, and providing data protection advisory services to a leading telecommunications company. He has also advised a global fintech company and stablecoin issuer on regulatory requirements relating to money transmission, KYC, AML compliance, foreign currency transactions, marketing regulations, and localisation requirements in Nigeria.

In addition to his fintech practice, Olufolajimi has worked closely with the firm’s Finance and Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions teams, contributing to several complex and market-defining transactions across multiple industries.

He holds a B.L from the Nigerian Law School and an LL.B from the University of Lagos. He is also the author of publications covering climate governance, international criminal law, population policy, and taxation. Olufolajimi is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
