Oluwatimilehin Ilori

Oluwatimilehin Ilori is an Associate Counsel at Dentons in Lagos, practicing in the Energy and Finance Services groups, specializing in Oil and Gas Law. He advises clients across the oil and gas value chain on structuring, financing, and delivering complex oil and gas, infrastructure, and cross‑border projects, with a focus on navigating the Nigerian energy regulatory landscape and providing strategic legal advisory on high‑value financial structuring and cross‑border investments.

Oluwatimilehin has advised on legal due diligence and reporting for an upstream regulator in relation to a divestment programme between a local company and a foreign entity; reviewed a Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement for a strategic nearshore LNG project in Nigeria; advised on a "Complete, Build, Operate, and Transfer" concession model for a Federal Road Project; advised on the Operations and Maintenance Agreement for a port water supply system refurbishment; and provided company secretarial and corporate governance advisory for a multi‑billion dollar FMCG company. He has also advised on the fiscal applicability of the 0.5% Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Development Levy under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021, acted as Lenders' Counsel on a US$20 million working capital facility, and advised on a US$5 million Project Preparation Facility Agreement with a regional Development Financial Institution.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ibadan and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School. He was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2022. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law.
