Ugochi Veronica Alfred is a Senior Counsel at Dentons in Lagos, practicing in the Dispute Resolution group. Her primary focus is on resolving high‑value disputes related to contracts, professional services, and labor and employment, covering industries including oil and gas, manufacturing, media, and telecommunications.

Ugochi has extensive experience representing both local and international clients—including multinational corporations, global law firms, and high‑net‑worth individuals—in commercial litigation across all levels of Nigerian courts. Notable matters include representing a consulting firm and a major multinational appliance corporation in professional fee recovery cases at the High Court of Lagos State; acting for an American telecommunications company in a US$4 million debt recovery case at the Court of Appeal; representing an international subsea service provider and a global communication service provider in US$2 million debt recovery matters; and acting for a borrower in recovering security interests arising from an NGN 200 million financing at the Court of Appeal.
