Toluwalope Orunmuyi

Toluwalope Orunmuyi is a Senior Associate with expertise in technology, IT and telecoms as well as private equity. He has extensive experience in commercial litigation, debt recovery, enforcement proceedings, real estate disputes, and corporate governance.

He was part of the team that represented several companies and successfully obtained court orders enforcing an undertaking as to damages of almost a billion naira against a leading bank in respect of a wrongfully obtained Mareva injunction. He also represented a thriving real estate company in a complex lawsuit concerning a purported receivership over more than 100 plots of land in one of the largest estates in Lagos State, and obtained a favourable judgment worth hundreds of millions of naira for a leading bank in a debt recovery matter. His practice includes preparing legal documentation for land allocations, managing corporate governance and compliance, providing company secretarial services, and advising on construction and infrastructure projects, including negotiation of construction contracts and obtaining relevant permits.

Toluwalope holds an LL.B (Hons) from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, an Associate of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria, and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and its Section on Business Law.
