Adeleke Adepoju

Adeleke Adepoju is a Senior Associate at Dentons ACAS‑Law in Lagos, practicing in the Shipping and Litigation group, specializing in Maritime Law. He has been involved in several complex litigation matters and has advised and represented clients in various superior courts of record in Nigeria.

Adeleke successfully represented a Swiss‑based oil company in registering a judgment obtained in the High Court of England over US$2 million as a judgment of the High Court in Kwara State, Nigeria. He was also part of the team that successfully defended an appeal involving an alleged case of breach of warranty and defective products for a US‑based tech firm. He has a deep knowledge of law and procedure, with particular attention to detail.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from Olabisi Onabanjo University (2008) and an LL.M in Maritime & Commercial Law from Lagos State University (2020). He was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2011. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Law Reform Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch.
