Chidinma Oko-Egwu

Chidinma Oko-Egwu is an Associate in the firm's Power and Infrastructure practice. She advises clients on the structuring, development, and financing of major infrastructure and energy projects across Nigeria and Africa. Her experience spans the full lifecycle of energy and infrastructure projects, from renewable energy deals and public-private partnerships to negotiating power purchase and concession agreements.

She has advised on the structuring and execution of high-value infrastructure and energy transactions valued at over $1 billion, including project finance, joint ventures, and PPPs. She has drafted and negotiated key project documents such as power purchase agreements, concession agreements, EPC contracts, facility and loan agreements, share purchase agreements, and security documentation. She also advises on regulatory compliance, ESG integration, and Nigeria's energy transition objectives, and has published "A Review of the Lagos State Electricity Law 2024" and "Enhancing Nigeria's Climate Finance Framework Post-COP29."

Chidinma holds an LL.B from Ebonyi State University and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, the Institute of Chartered Taxation of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Bar Association.
